Manaaki mats help for grieving families — Gisborne Herald
“If I can help another mother have the same experience I had with my baby boy, then I am happy . . . helping others helps me too,” says Gisborne mother Hailey Keepa.
Mrs Keepa hosted a community fundraiser through her homemade bakery business to raise awareness about manaaki mats and gift them to others in the community.
Mrs Keepa lost her baby boy Kyrei early last month. Now she wants to raise awareness in the Tairāwhiti community about a resource which helped her family in their healing process.
